Your first steps

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Starting therapy can bring questions. Here is a little more about the process, from booking an appointment to finding a direction together.

01 · Book through Grow Therapy

Visit Lance’s Grow Therapy profile to review appointment options, verify your insurance or self-pay arrangements, and follow the booking instructions. Complete any intake steps requested by the platform.

02 · Make space for the appointment

Set aside 60 minutes in a private place in North Carolina. Check your camera, microphone, and connection, and follow the appointment access instructions from Grow Therapy.

You may find it useful to jot down what brought you to therapy, situations that feel difficult, or questions you want to ask. Preparing notes is optional; there is no perfect way to begin.

03 · Start with a conversation

The initial session is a chance to get to know each other and discuss what you are experiencing. You may talk about your concerns, what you hope could change, and what has or has not helped in the past.

You and Lance can begin identifying priorities and considering whether the approach is a good fit. You do not need to solve everything in the first appointment.

04 · Build and review goals together

Ongoing sessions can include exploring patterns, practicing strategies, and discussing what happens between visits. You can give feedback and adjust the direction of the work.

Session frequency and the length of therapy depend on your needs and the ongoing conversation with Lance. There is no promised timeline or guaranteed outcome.
